All the transformation work I do is about integration, our masculine and feminine aspects, our left and right brain, head and heart, the person we are inside and outside of work, our intellectual and emotional gifts, the one that creates structure and the one that improvises. All my training is oriented towards this as well - with a background in corporate strategy (ex-BCG and ex-COO of Xiaomi Southeast Asia) and Music Medicine Facilitation - I seamlessly move between the intellectual brainstorm and strategic planning to a deep heart space and my work now is how do we live our purpose and our 'doing' in connection to and as an expression of our hearts and to stay in connection while we do so? Instead of giving up the thing we truly want on the way to the thing we think we want, how do we allow ourselves to dream the life we want to live now, today?
As a teacher, I'm a certified Music Medicine Facilitator and facilitate workshops that use sound to help people connect more deeply to themselves, each other and the greater ecosystem.
Hi! I'm Mina, my chinese name is 李晶晶 and I live between Shanghai and San Francisco. I was raised on achievement based values while living a separate spiritual life since I was young, I've spent much of my life bringing my inner and outer worlds into alignment, my intellect and my heart, my corporate background and my spiritual seeking, my left brained analytics and my right brained artistic improvisation. I offer this integration today in the form of 1:1 personal work, group retreats and workshops, speaking, and writing and in applying my strategy, entrepreneurial and management consultant background to helping companies within the consciousness sector scale and connect to the right resources. I'm most fulfilled when I'm able to do both the in-person transformation work with people and solve strategic scale based problems - I need to bring all of me to the table.
I deeply care about creating transformative experiences for individuals and companies that bring their inner and outer life into greater alignment, so they can be in their most authentic, creative and fully alive expression. I also deeply care about shifting the consciousness movement into a cultural norm.
I express this passion by running Ancient Future - an experience design and strategic advisory firm that helps leaders and companies transform and grow, and by offering 1:1 transformative work with leaders. I work both in the USA and China, teaching workshops on authentic leadership, team culture, music medicine, circling and community building, and write about my experiences in China to share my learnings.
Before this, I ....
I care deeply about integrating personal and professional life, because I believe that the two are inseparable - one creates the other, and that if we want to shift the external world, we must invite the internal world to enter into an intentional relationship with the external one.
"We are what we create, and we create what we are."
I express this passion by working 1:1 with leaders and by running Ancient Future - an experience design and culture change firm that helps teams experience greater connection, deeper trust and stronger Communities of Practice and Purpose (CoPP), ones that integrate their personal and professional transformation. Community is important because transformation takes time, it is culture and habit change - and community is the container of that time - it holds the momentum, accountability and magic for transformation to unfurl.
I also care deeply about bridging the USA and China, because I believe that the exchange between these two monoliths are critically important to building a sustainable and awakened future. There is much we do not know by only sitting on one side of the bridge; we can benefit greatly by learning new ways of being and doing from each other.
"In times of trouble, the Wise Build Bridges and the Foolish Build Walls. We must look after each other as one community, one tribe"
I express this passion by running East West Bridge - an initiative within Ancient Future that helps Western and Chinese companies meet with, learn from, and partner with each other. I also teach transformation workshops in China and share my experiences through writing and speaking around the world. I see both sides reaching towards each other - Western firms have scientific-backed content that China wants, and after so many years, China is going through a revival of its culture and updating and making available its ancient wisdom.
Before this, I was the Southeast Asia COO for Xiaomi where I experienced first-hand how giving people community could build a 45 billion dollar company, founded an events company in New York which facilitated dialogues between leaders in sustainability, designed a co-investment seed fund for the Caribbean diaspora to invest in entrepreneurship as economic development for The World Bank, and was a management consultant at The Boston Consulting Group.
I speak around the world on the consciousness sector where it intersects with leadership style and corporate culture, technology, entrepreneurship and philanthropy and investing. I facilitate experiences of connection for companies because when people are in connection - decision making and agreements becomes much more seamless and enjoyable. My mentors include Joe Hudson, Christine Stevens, and Mudeng in inner China.
